Reality Jam is the invite only conference event for members of the Realityjam&rsquo;s Industry Access Program. The inaugural iteration of this star studded event spectacular goes live on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st of July in Bournemouth, UK offering 2 days of tech talks, game dev networking and fun in the South Coast sun.
Presented in cooperation with Arts University Bournemouth, &lsquo;Reality Jam 1&rsquo; combines a series of member networking events with a 2 day game jam designed to help build relationships between program members and create a vital opportunity to put the skills learned during the IAP into practice.
A game jam is similar to a hackathon, whereby people come together for a short period of time to create games around a central theme revealed at the start of the jam. Reality Jam gives program members an opportunity to profile and platform their game creation and development skills, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression.
The game jam will produce one ultimate winner, judged by a panel of senior devs and artists from the Realityjam team with the winner being publicly announced following the completion of the event.
Alongside the industrial activity, the conference schedule also includes casual after hours events designed to give members an opportunity to relax and unwind while building new networks and friendships.
